When Scripps Ranch business owner, Toi Butler, suggested on September 18th that she open her salon doors to
Katrina evacuees for a free hair makeover, on September 25, Sunroad Enterprise, Kearny Mesa Ford, and Pacific Honda,
paid for those evacuees who have not found a home yet, to travel between their Mission Valley hotel and Upscale Hair
Gallery, in Scripps Ranch for this nurturing experience.
Of the 1700 Katrina evacuees here in San Diego, as of September 25, there were fifty still living in a hotel,
searching for a place to live.
All fifty survivor's makeover would not have been possible without the donations and compassion from Sunroad Enterprise,
Kearny Mesa Ford, Pacific Honda, We'll Travel, and the Mira Mesa Boulevard businesses:
Filippi's Pizza Grotto, Fuddruckers, Pizza Hut, Ralphs, Applebees, and C's Deli.
